1. Cupping - When the sides raise forming a cup.
2. Buckling - The ends will start to push themselves out.
3. Mold - If left to dry on its own mold can form under the wood.

With the first two cases there is still a chance to save the wood floor. However, if there is mold present the floor will have to be removed.
